Quick Start Program FAQ
Q1. What is the goal of the Quick Start program?
A: The goal of the Quick Start program is to allow you to rapidly deploy a
KioskNet trial. This will let you evaluate its features first-hand and help you
to decide whether you will benefit from a wider deployment.
Q2: What does a kit contain?
A: The kit contains all the hardware and software necessary to rapidly deploy a
pilot system in the field. It will allow you to support one kiosk, one vehicle,
and one gateway.
Q3: What is the cost to participate in the program?
A: Participation is free.
Q4: Who is eligible to participate?
A: The program is open to not-for-profit OR for-profit organizations that
already have deployed kiosks and also have sufficient technical expertise
available to install and maintain the equipment.
Q5: What is the application process?
A: Please answer the questions at end of this document and email your response
to keshav@uwaterloo.ca. If you are found to be eligible, we will contact you
within one week.
Q6: Do you have any other requirements?
A: Yes. We would like you to submit a quarterly status report describing your
deployment and telling us about your experiences operating this system. We will
use this to learn what is working and what needs improvement in future releases
of the system.
