We have had papers accepted at SIGCOMM, MobiEval, AAAI Workshop on Recommender Systems, IEEE Software Defined Radio Workshop, SecureComm, and ACM SIGCOMM Computer Communication Review. We'll put them up on the publications page when the camera-ready copies are finalized.

[4/25] I will be attending WWW 2007 (http://www2007.org/), the PRESTO (http://cabernet.cs.princeton.edu/presto07/index.html) workshop and Mobisys 2007 (http://www.sigmobile.org/mobisys/2007/). I might also be at Sigcomm 2007 (http://www.sigcomm.org/sigcomm2007/) and Mobicom this summer, though this seems to be far too much travel.

[12/10] My students are raking in the awards: Matei Zaharia was declared runner-up in the 2007 Computing Research Association’s Outstanding Undergraduate Awards (http://www.cra.org/Activities/awards/undergrad/) and Nabeel Ahmed and David Hadaller were awarded the inaugural Cheriton Graduate Scholarships (http://www.cs.uwaterloo.ca/grad/scholarships/Cheriton_scholarships). Congratulations!

[6/21] Some thoughts on Reviewing the reviewers

[6/1] I will be traveling June 5-6 (Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute meeting in Ottawa), June 17-July 9 (visiting Intel Research, Cambridge), June 19-21 (Mobisys 2006), and July 16-20 (Microsoft Faculty Summit, Redmond). I will also be attending Mobisys in Uppsala, Sweden from June 20-22.

[2/22] Our summer intern selection is complete. If you one of the applicants and haven't heard from us yet, chances are pretty good that you have not been selected.

[11/10] Mark Handley and I are co-chairs of the newly chartered Internet Congestion Control Research Group (http://www.irtf.org/charter?gtype=rg&group=iccrg), under the auspices of the Internet Research Task Force. In a nutshell, the group will evaluate and recommend an alternative to TCP congestion control.
